Tree of life - 50X35cm - Acrylic - 2021

DE: Seit Jahrtausenden ist der Lebensbaum für viele Kulturen auf der ganzen Welt ein Symbol. Er verbindet die drei Welten: Unterwelt, Erde und Himmel. Der Lebensbaum ist ein Zeichen der Hoffnung für eine glückliche Zukunft und ein gesundes Wachstum. Der  Stamm ist ein Symbol der Stärke, ein Ort, an den wir immer wieder zurückkehren und uns daran erinnern können, woraus wir gemacht sind. Die Wurzeln erinnern uns, woher wir stammen und wo wir geerdet bleiben und sind der tiefere Sinn vom Leben.

Der Lebensbaum ist nach dem alten türkischen Glauben des Schamanismus das Zentrum der Welt, dient auch als Leiter bei Himmelsreisen. Als Basissymbol nahm ich den Lebensbaum von Gök Medresse (wörtlich: „Himmlische Medresse“, 13. Jahrhundert, eine islamische Bildungseinrichtung) aus Sivas, in der Türkei. Es ist eine alte Stadt, aus der meine Vorfahren stammen.

Ich fügte dem Baum ein Augensymbol als Beobachter des Lebens hinzu.

The tree of life is a sign of hope for a happy future and healthy growth. The trunk is a symbol of strength, a place we can always return to and remember what we are made of. The roots remind us where we came from and where we stay grounded and the deep meaning of life.

The tree of life is the center of the world according to the old Turkish belief Shamanism, also serves as a ladder in sky travel. I took as basement symbol of my the tree of life from Gök Madrasah (literally: "Celestial Madrasah„, 13th-century, an Islamic educational institution) from Sivas, Turkey. It is an old city, where my ancestors comes.

I added eyes symbol to tree as watcher of life.
